Warren S. Lane was commander of a Naval Armed Guards gun crew stationed aboard the merchant ship, SS Edwin L. Godkin and served during World War II. Lane retired to Washington, N.C., in 1967 and subsequently served as executive director of the Downtown Washington Association.Warren Spencer Lane (b. 1908) is a native of Boston, Mass., and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
